Does Patrick Mahomes Belong In a Tier All By Himself?
Patrick Mahomes stands apart in the NFL quarterback conversation, but Fox Sports’ latest quarterback tiers have him grouped with Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson. Is this fair, or should Mahomes be in a league of his own? The debate intensifies as their Super Bowl credentials, supporting casts, and unique skill sets are compared—spotlighting how Mahomes succeeded with a depleted receiver corps, while Allen and Jackson benefitted from stronger run games.
Joe Burrow’s surprising omission from the top tier and Jalen Hurts’ lack of recognition raise questions about how success, playoff wins, and clutch performances shape a quarterback’s legacy. Can Allen’s stats outweigh his playoff record? Does Lamar Jackson’s MVP status compensate for postseason shortcomings? With trades shifting offensive weapons across the league, the judge of elite quarterback play is more complex and compelling than ever.
